Chelly Community Guidelines

Chelly is a video editing app that helps you create high-quality, stunning videos. Chelly runs an online community where people can create, share, and connect. We are also committed to keeping this community safe. Chelly Community Guidelines define a set of norms and a common code of conduct, providing guidance on what is and is not acceptable to create a welcoming space for all.
Content such as video, audio, images, comments, and text that violates the Chelly Community Guidelines will be deleted, and the relevant account holder will be notified of the decision.
Chelly Community Guidelines apply to all Chelly users and everything on Chelly. Community Guidelines are implemented proactively, using a mix of technical moderation and human moderation, before content is flagged.
Chelly recognizes that some of the content that would normally be removed in accordance with our community guidelines may be of public interest. Therefore, in certain circumstances, such as educational, documentary, scientific or artistic content, satirical content, content in virtual environments, opposition speech, public interest content that encourages personal expression on newsworthy or socially significant topics, etc. Exceptions may apply.
It is not acceptable to use the Chelly platform to threaten, incite violence, or promote dangerous individuals or organizations.
Inciting violence is considered advocating violence and directing or encouraging other users to commit violence. Threats of or incitement to violence that could result in serious physical harm are not permitted.
Individuals or organizations that promote or are associated with violence are not permitted. Individuals and organizations such as mass murderers, serial killers, rapists, hate groups, criminal organizations, terrorist organizations, and other non-state armed groups targeting citizens are removed.
The trade, sale, promotion or use of certain regulated items and the depiction or promotion of criminal activity are prohibited. Content that provides value to everyone, such as education, science, art, and newsworthy content, is excluded.
Criminal activity includes a wide range of acts punishable by law, including theft, assault, human trafficking, forgery, and other harmful acts. We remove content that promotes or encourages criminal activity to avoid normalizing, copying, and promoting such behavior.
The depiction, promotion, or trade of small firearms, ammunition, small firearm accessories, or explosive weapons is not permitted. Instructions on how to craft these weapons are also prohibited. It may be acceptable as a museum collection item, when transported by police at military parades, or when used in a safe, controlled environment such as a shooting range.
Content that depicts or promotes the use or trafficking of drugs or other controlled substances is not permitted.
The purchase, sale, trade, or trafficking of tobacco and alcohol products is not permitted.
Taking advantage of a user's trust to gain an unfair advantage or cause financial or physical harm is not permitted. We will remove content that attempts to defraud people or defraud them for illicit financial gain or personal gain, including schemes to defraud individuals or steal property.
We do not allow content that promotes gambling services or could be seen as an advertisement for casinos, sports betting, or other commercial gambling activities.
We do not allow content that violates the confidentiality of personal data or personally identifiable information (such as Social Security information). Content depicting personal data or personally identifiable information (PII) will be removed.
We don't allow shocking, graphic, sadistic or horrific content, or content that promotes, generalizes or glorifies extreme violence or suffering.
We do not allow content that depicts, promotes, generalizes, or glorifies behaviors that may lead to suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. Additionally, we do not allow content that depicts or encourages others to engage in risky behavior that could result in serious injury or death.
Chelly strongly encourages users who are suffering from thoughts of self-harm or suicide, or who know someone who is seriously considering suicide, to contact their local emergency services or suicide prevention center immediately.
Content that may encourage suicide, suicidal thoughts, or engaging in other self-harming behavior will be removed. We also remove content that depicts a suicide attempt or features a person engaging in or intending to engage in behavior that could result in death. Any form of content that promotes, generalizes, glorifies suicide, provides methods for suicide, or depicts suicide as a heroic or glorious act is prohibited.
To prevent normalizing, encouraging, or triggering self-harming behaviors, we do not allow images depicting these behaviors, regardless of the user's intention to post them. We will remove content that may encourage or generalize behavior that could lead to physical harm. We also do not allow content that promotes eating habits that may have adverse health effects.
Dangerous or other dangerous behavior means behavior that, if carried out in an unprofessional context and without the necessary skill and safety precautions, could result in serious injury or death to the user or the public. We do not allow content that depicts, promotes, generalizes, or glamorizes activities such as amateur stunts or dangerous challenges.
We do not tolerate content that attacks or incites violence against individuals or groups because of protected characteristics. Content containing hate speech or hateful behavior is not permitted and will be removed.
Hate speech or behavior is content that attacks, threatens, incites violence against, or dehumanizes an individual or group because of any of the following protected characteristics:
Defamatory language means offensive language that is intended to belittle someone's ethnicity, race, or other protected characteristic from the list above. To minimize the spread of highly offensive language, we remove all disparaging language unless it is paraphrased, self-referential (e.g. in song lyrics), or is non-derogatory.
Hateful ideology refers to behavior that explicitly expresses hostility toward people because they have protected characteristics. Hateful ideologies have no place in the inclusive and empowering Chelly community, and content that spreads hateful ideologies will be removed.
Members who bring shame, bullying, or harassment to the community will not be tolerated. Offensive content or behavior may cause serious emotional distress and will be removed.
All offensive language, including any threatening or disparaging language intended to ridicule, humiliate, shame, intimidate, harm, or harm an individual, will be removed. To encourage expression on issues of public interest, comments critical of public figures may be permitted. However, actions that seriously insult public figures are prohibited.
Sexual harassment includes unwanted or inappropriate sexual behavior toward another person. We do not allow content that sexually harasses others through actions that are likely to cause significant distress to the targeted individual, regardless of the user's intent.
Nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit content is not permitted. Content depicting or endorsing non-consensual sexual activity, non-consensual sharing of intimate images, and adult prostitution is prohibited.
Sexual exploitation refers to the actual or attempted abuse of a position of vulnerability, power, or trust for sexual purposes, including exploiting another person's sexuality for financial, social, or political gain. Sexually exploitative content is not allowed.
Nudity and sexual activity includes content that clearly exposes breasts, genitals, anus, or buttocks, acts that mimic or suggest sexual activity, or displays sexual activity. We do not allow content that depicts digitally created or manipulated nudity or sexual acts.
We are committed to protecting the safety of minors on our platforms. Chelly defines a minor as anyone under the age of 18. We prohibit activities on Chelly that perpetuate the abuse, harm, intimidation, or exploitation of minors. Any content, including animated or digitally created or manipulated media that depicts abuse, exploitation or threats of minors is a violation of our platform and will be removed if discovered and acknowledged. In accordance with U.S. law, in the United States, we report Child Sexual Abuse Materials (CSAM) and supporting evidence to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and additional applicable statutory authorities.
Chelly will take action against any content or accounts related to CSAM or sexual exploitation of minors. Sexual exploitation of a minor is the abuse of a position of power or trust for sexual purposes, including obtaining financial, social, sexual, or political advantage through the exploitation of a minor. CSAM is defined as visual depictions of sexually explicit nudity or acts of minors, either filmed by an adult perpetrator or peer, or created by minors themselves.

Harmful minor conduct includes possession or consumption of substances prohibited to minors, misuse of legal substances, participation in illegal activities, conduct that may endanger the well-being of minors, and physical challenges or adventures. All such content will be deleted.

Grooming behavior is when an adult establishes an emotional relationship with a minor to gain the minor's trust for the purpose of future or ongoing sexual contact, sexual abuse, trafficking, or other exploitation. This behavior may include flattery, requests to meet, requests for personal information, solicitation of material that sexually exploits minors, sexual solicitations or comments, and offering gifts.

We do not allow users who have been convicted of crimes against children to use our platforms and communities. These crimes include: sexual assault, sexual assault, murder, physical abuse or neglect, kidnapping, international parental kidnapping, human trafficking, exploitation of minors for prostitution, sexual abuse of minors live online, and sexual exploitation of minors in travel and tourism contexts. Fake engagement includes any content or activity that attempts to artificially inflate your popularity on the platform. Any attempts to manipulate the platform to increase interaction numbers are prohibited.
Disinformation refers to content that is inaccurate or untrue. Chelly is a community where users can have respectful conversations about the topics they care about, but we do not tolerate misinformation, regardless of intent, that could harm individuals, the community, or the public at large.
Copyright is a legal right that protects an author's original work (e.g. music, video) and the original expression of an idea (e.g. the specific way the video or music is expressed or produced), but does not protect the underlying idea or facts.
A trademark is a word, symbol, slogan, or design that identifies and distinguishes the source of goods or services. We encourage you to create and share original content.
Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others is prohibited from the platform and will be removed if discovered. Use of copyrighted material under certain circumstances, such as fair use laws, other applicable laws, trademark use for reference purposes, legitimate commenting, criticism, parody, creating fan pages, or product or service reviews, does not constitute a violation of Chelly policies.
If you believe that any content uploaded to or available through the Platform infringes your intellectual property rights, please submit a report.
Any activity that undermines the security and reliability of Chelly services is prohibited by policy.
